Phone verification confirms your mobile number with a one-time SMS code — learn what to expect and how to complete this step.

The phone verification step confirms that you have access to the mobile number you provided. A one-time code is sent to your phone via SMS, and you enter it in the verification flow to prove the number belongs to you. This step is commonly used to add an extra layer of security to the onboarding process.

How to complete phone verification

Enter your mobile phone number in the format requested, including the country code.
A one-time code will be sent to that number by SMS within a few seconds.
Enter the code in the verification flow before the countdown timer expires.
If the code is accepted, the phone verification step is complete.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you entered the correct number with the right country code.
Check that your phone has signal and is not in flight mode.
SMS delivery can occasionally be delayed — wait up to two minutes before requesting a new code.
VoIP numbers and some virtual phone numbers may not be accepted; use a standard mobile number.

If the SMS does not arrive after two attempts, contact the business that requested your verification. They can advise on alternative steps or escalate the issue on your behalf.
